Thanks for your comment. As you say, there are many people who have become victims in the hands of their children. My aunt prefers to say that her son is insecure and hence is doing this. It might be, but it is at a terrible cost and loss of dignity, to one's own children.
Thank you for your comment,
JuliaJulia Duttahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08846895945401962741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29635803.post-66114378606553226442008-05-28T20:11:00.000-07:002008-05-28T20:11:00.000-07:00Hi Julia, this is a very interesing case study. I know feeble parents who are being abused by their children on this basis.

I think the parents should distribute their property to their children/relatives while they are still alive.

My parents had a joint account into which they deposited their pensions for the sake of convinience. Now my Mom operates her separate account and i withdraw money for her and household jobs.

But i would say retired parents should not hand over their finances completely to their children unless they are totally incapacitated.Amritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04887884977787790642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29635803.post-78820133894462205302008-05-15T21:34:00.000-07:002008-05-15T21:34:00.000-07:00Came to know from my mail that you visited my othe...Came to know from my mail that you visited my other blog, Julia. But does not age make us weak and meek towards those who also care for us? So, do you think that this happens due to the dysfunctional dynamics of the concerned two/three? Maybe, you are right; maybe that is why, we need a different society, one that overhauls all set standards.
Thank you Durga for dropping by.
JuliaJulia Duttahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08846895945401962741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29635803.post-82251019811607410242008-05-10T00:28:00.000-07:002008-05-10T00:28:00.000-07:00On the question whether one can do something atroc...On the question whether one can do something atrocious to their parents, yes, human beings are free to do anything they please. How society or another person reacts to that and names it is another matter altogether.

Moralistic values are different for different individuals. Each one to his or her own. But as there can be no tyrant without the meek subjugated, there can be no exploitation without the exploited's express approval. I have read and seen how dysfunctional dynamics work in societies and in families - it works for a long time, and then there is a bloody, savage revolution which destroys all, and creates something new.Durgasankar Mandalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01055838952155000533noreply@blogger.com
